Great Start for England

England has begun their tour of Bangladesh well with a clean sweep in the one-dayers. Bangladesh put up a good fight but in the end England had too much firepower for the hosts. They simply had no match for the likes or class of England.

This is the second time England is playing in Bangladesh. They first played there in 2003. Then England was represented by the likes of Michael Vaughan, Nasser Hussain and Graeme Thorpe. There won’t be a single survivor from that side. In the First Test England won by seven wickets. In the second they had an easy 329 run victory. Bangladesh will provide much stiffer opposition this time round.

The one day matches were pretty close and on home soil, Bangladesh will be no pushover. It is interesting that England are without Andrew Strauss. It is always an honor to represent your country in Test cricket and here he is giving up the chance to play two Test matches. It sends a bad message to the team when the captain doesn’t go on tour.

England did well in South Africa and they will be keen to assert their good form over Bangladesh. The likes of Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen and Paul Collingwood didn’t have the best of tours and they will be looking to get back to some of the best. Pietersen failed in the tour match against Bangladesh A and won’t be concerned, just a tiny bit worried. Thus far online betting uk doesn’t think he will be England’s top scorer so you can get a good price on him.

Captain Alastair Cook will be keen to lead from the front. The English team are hoping that the responsibilities of being captain will help bring the best out of him.

Iain Bell will be hoping that the good form he had in South Africa will continue here. He was one of the surprise packets of the tour and consolidated his position in the middle order. One person who has been in great form is Graeme Swann. He has set the world on fire since coming back into the English side a year ago.

He has 69 wickets from 16 Test matches and will be someone that the Bangladesh side have to keep an eye on. Should be a great series of Test cricket.
