Where did that come from? England reach ICC semi-finals…

After being hammered by Australia in the recent One Day International series, it is fair to say that the expectation wasn’t great for England’s chances in the ICC Champions trophy. However, after two fantastic wins, Andrew Strauss men have qualified for the semi-finals with a group game to spare and increased their betting odds of winning the Champions Trophy no end.

Not only were they the first team to qualify, but the two victories were against Sri Lanka and South Africa – two of the best limited over sides in the World. It doesn’t end there either. England’s win over South Africa means that the hosts were knocked out of the competition. (more…)

What does the future hold for Steve Harmison?

Steve Harmison has had a very enjoyable couple of weeks. Shortly after celebrating the Ashes win with England, he was back in Durham to help his side win the Cricket County Championship for the second season in a row sparking more celebrations.

The England seamer took the wicket which sealed the title – something else that has occurred in the last two years – and he admits that this is something he is ‘very proud of’. He went on to say that it is a ‘great achievement’ by Durham as a County. (more…)
